Living in care or a facility?

If you are a child or youth living in a facility, foster home, group home or other home or place, you have the right to contact the Advocate for Children and Youth office.

The Advocate for Children and Youth Act requires that your request must be immediately forwarded to our office by the person in charge of the facility or home.

If you write a letter to the Advocate for Children and Youth, the person in charge of the facility or home you live in must immediately forward the letter, unopened, to our office.

Concerned about other Provincial Government services?

If you are a young person receiving provincial government services (like health, education, justice, social services, etc.) and you have concerns with decisions being made that impact you, please reach out to us.
